He was 2 months and 11 days old when we lost him to S.I.D.S. It has been
the hardest 3weeks of my life. He was born a twin and premature he
weighted 4lbs and 10ozs and was a healthy baby.We never considered that we

is almost 9 and my daughter is 6 months & I never realized sids until
her. She is still in our bedroom even thought everyone says we're crazy! I
love to know she is there & listen to hear breath at night! I am so
sorry to all that have lost a child. I lost two brothers in car accidents
at different times so I have a small idea of what it is like to lose a
loved one! I think it would be worse with a tiny baby that you brought
into this world. I would kill for my children! No one knows the feeling

Comments: Our Rachel Hope was born August 13, 98 and passed
December 16, 98. She was 4 months and 3 days old. Rachel was born
premature and with a condition called "gastroschisis". This is
when your abdmonial wall does not close all the way causing your
intestines to form on the outside. She was in NICU for 32 days and did a
full recovery. Born at 4 lbs. 11 oz. now, four months later weighing
13lbs. 5 oz. Right along with all the other babies, doing what she was
suppose to. We were out of the clear - S.I.D.S was the last thing we
thought about, but fell victim. Rachel will be the Friday the 13th baby
this year - she should be walking - it's tough, but somehow we are going
through the steps making it look good, but never forgetting how much we
love and miss you Ms. Rachel. You are with us "Forever and
Always" We are very active now in helping get the word out and I am

off and I cry for hours. The other night, my "boyfriend" and I
were talking about adding on bedrooms to our house since we only have one.
And it hit me that we were considering a new room for us, a room that
would someday be a nursery, and a room for his twins, but we didn't even
mention Madalynn. I just thought how unfair that she'll never get to have
her own room. And at that moment I felt like screaming at everyone and

Comments: Hi. I had 2 terminated pregnancies - not by my choice,
but for some unGodly reason. The 1st was said to be "normal" (I
was 15 wks), the 2nd was a little girl at 22 weeks gestation - causes
unknown. Both were lost in '97. I have a 7 yr old son whose as healthy as
a horse, and now a 4 month old son who is also healthy. I have already
lost 2 babies and am doing anything & everything possible to keep this
one. Both boys are by far the BEST that I have ever known, but as a mom
you never stop trying to protect...and you never forget. Reading some of
the entries of the parents who have lost their child(ren) saddens me so
deeply because I can relate. This site helps to enlighten, thank you for
your researching. Hopefully, one day soon, there can be a solution to
