Special readings for Janette Adele
My daughter, Manda requested special readings for Janette Adele at Mass. All our friend
searched high and low for special poems. The following 2 were forwarded to me by a friend
in Idaho. Maybe they will help
My prayers are with you and yours

Words of Comfort
Late at night while I am sleeping
I can hear God's quiet voice speak.
I can hear the words of comfort,
Words of love that I do seek.
"My child, I will walk with you.
Hold your hand through painful years.
I will never leave your side,
I will wipe away all of your tears.
"I feel the pain you feeling,
Know the torment you go through,
For I, have lost my son to death,
My heart was saddened, just like you.
"But my son rose to eternal life,
Your child has done the same.
He was given a new body,
He even has a different name.
"He sees the rainbow every day,
Feels the sun shine on his face.
He only knows a smile now,
In My glorious, peaceful place.
"He has a mansion built for him,
He runs and has such fun!
I know you will be joining him,
When your work on earth is done.
"He's now at peace forever more.
I will keep him safe from any harms,
He awaits you walking through the gates,
For you to hold him in your arms."

In God's Trust
He know how much I loved her
And how much I feel the pain,
So He wrapped me in his arms
And made His love so very plain
I felt the peace and understanding
The this world just cannot know,
And I found in Him great strength and joy
In me His spirit He bestowed.
He's carried me upon a cloud
Above this earthly land,
But now and then He sets me down
To see if I can stand.
My legs still somewhat wobbly
on many of those days,
I struggle with my feelings
And try to understand His Ways.
And it's true I cannot comprehend
Perhaps He wishes so.
For all that happens in our lives
Is not meant for us to know.
But He gives us guidance through His word
And salvation through His son,
And He'll always be there to call upon
Until the battles have all been won !

This one was found by Manda's Uncle which was used on a Memorial Plaque for
I will not say our time was brief.
I do not rightly know
if time can have a quantity
which may be measured so.
But there is quality in time,
like wood-smoke or a flower.
So that eternity grows dim
beside a single hour.
