Happy Birthday, Chrislyn

by Brandi Clark

Sat, 29 Nov 1997

Today would be the day that you turn three
I can't help thinking of how you'd be..
With ribbons and bows in your hair,
Your pretty dress picked out with care.

I imagine the mess you would make
Eating your birthday cake.
I could wipe your chin
While you give me your special little grin.

I could be holding your dimpled hand,
Or building a castle with you in the sand.
Instead there's so many tears
At all the lost years.

Today you *are* three
And still a very big part of me.
You will always be my lil baby
And someday...just maybe...
I'll see you again.

It isn't really easy to send a birthday wish this way, but sometimes we have to make do with what we have..it's my way of giving something to her since I can't give the things I want. Then again..things don't really matter when it comes down to it..I'd give up all the things to have Chrislyn back..I'd live my life without things to hold her hand and hear her giggle.

For Chrislyn..I'll love you always and miss you forever, I hope that the birthday you have in paradise is perfect..because you are perfect to me. Happy Birthday baby...

Love,
Your Mommy
Briclyn & Brayson
