Heaven's Astronaut

"mommy, Keegan and I are going to be astronauts when we get bigger"

I wrote this poem for my 5 year old son Liam on what would have been
Keegan's 6 month birthday. It's an especially lonely day for me as we had
plans for the traditional 6 month photos today. I than thought of Liam who
also had great plans for the future with his baby brother.

Heaven's Astronaut

Liam is our #1
5 years old and is having fun
An Astronaut he wants to be
He studies space so naturally

Keegan is our #2
6 months old today he'd be
A younger brother partner too
An astronaut before we knew

Liam planned their future
A brother he would nurture
He told the world that they would be
Astronauts together

Today as Liam studies space
We know that Keegan has set the pace
An inspiration from up above
An Astronaut In heaven above
