We will keep tryingby jasnaim Date: Fri, 20 Aug 1999 I am writing to say that I also have had a miscarriage almost 8 months ago. I knew I was pregnant, but I had to wait two weeks before I could see my doctor. By the time I saw my doctor, I was six weeks and three days. This was on a Tuesday and on Friday morning I started to spot with no pains. I called the doctor and he told me not to worry, but come in anyway to have him check me out. We had taken a vaginal ultrasound on Tuesday and saw a heartbeat. On Friday, we took another one and there was no heartbeat. My doctor sent me to the hospital to have my pregnancy hormone level checked and again on Sunday to see if it had changed. When I got to the doctor's office on Monday, I was then informed that I had had a miscarriage. That Wednesday, I had to have a D&C. It hurts worse because this would have been our first child and the first grandchild. This was a huge gift to myself, because I have always wanted a baby. I had actually convinced my husband that we were ready. Now it has been 8 months and we are still trying. The only thing that really hurts is that myself and a girl at work were only 4 weeks apart and she just had hers. I would have had mine on 9/21/99. Thank you for letting me air this. It really helped! We will keep trying. |
