It is about love

by Edmond Kett

Hi, this is a poem I wrote for Matthew John Kett my son. Just for my baby. But I`d like to leave you with this. It is about love.

I am walking through a forest fire
with buckets of gasoline in each hand.
I have matches and wax and a wick
for which to burn.
And I am burning.
I am burning for the loss of my son,
who was only but a child.
My Matthew was an innocent,
a babe who needed our arms.
The forest is burning and white coals
make up my heart.
This forest of flames..
this forest of pain ,
don't you ever go away,
I need you to stay.
Matthew oh Matthew
the fire ever burns.
I will always look for you through
this forest with love.

Dada.
