My Loss

by Gina Kocian

Date: Wed, 3 Jan 2001

I wrote in Oct about my miscarriage, under the title, "Where is my baby".
I wrote a poem that I would like to share. It helped as a creative outlet
for my pain.

My Loss
My pain is real. my loss is true
Though no one is to blame
I'll never get to hold you
Or ever call your name
I'll never hold your hand in mine
But I will hold you in my heart
Time will heal and I'll be fine
I loved you from the start
I'll never sing you lullabies
Or see your sweet sweet smile
I'll never look into your eyes
Not even for awhile
You'll never call me mommy
Or take your first steps
You'll never play when it's sunny
Or know my love or its depths
You'll never have a baby of your very own
Or know what life you could've had
To our baby, we wish we had known...
We love you...mom and dad
