I have attached a poem written for my daughter Sierra Lynn. She was stillborn on December 5, 1996 due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around her ankle.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. I hope this poem helps some of you.

PLEASE

Please don't forget about me
Please remember my name
I was only here for a short while
But I was here just the same

Please don't forget about Mommy
Or my Daddy too
Their grief will never go away
They must count on me and you

Please say my name once in awhile
Just mention me to my Mom
She will always be thinking of me
It will never be the same

Please remember, you'll never know
The pain my parents feel
You have your children and always will
For them it will never seem real

Even though I was here such a very short time
My parents loved me so
I know they will never forget me
Please remember me and tell them so

Please remember they lost their child today
These feelings of hurt and grief will never go away
Please remember I will always be their baby
I will live in their hearts forever and a day

I love you Mommy and Daddy
I love you oh so much
I wish I could be there to tell you
How very, very much
