Love Of Our Children We Share

In memory of my son Nathan & all of the children who are no longer with us.

Hopefully this will somehow make just one person see that we all love our children with the same intensity no matter what their age. People need to ask themselves if it would really make a difference it they lost their oldest or youngest child. It is amazing how many people will say "be thankful it happened now, it would be worse if he/she were older." We should never compare ages when speaking of losing a child. It's plain and simple, in my eyes; NO ONE should lose a child for any reason at any age.

Love Of Our Children We Share

The children we are given,
Gifts sent straight from heaven.

Eight months we waited,
To see the miracle we created.

He came one month early,
Excited to begin our journey.

I remember the joy,
When we first saw our little boy.

For seventy-four days we were blessed,
Feeding, bathing and getting him dressed.

The memories we will always treasure,
Thankful for the time we had together.

A guardian angel to protect & guide,
In that we take pride.

No matter how big or small,
Our children watch over us all.

In our hearts & souls we keep them,
Don't ever expect us to forget them.

Everyone who has children will say,
They did not know love until that day.

The birth of your own child,
A new level of love we find.

The length of time they spend living,
Has no affect on our grieving.
