Safe In Jesus' Arms
A Poem for Nicole
I wrote this poem the day after Nicole passed away and I read it at her funeral. I read
it often when I get down to help me remember the happiness she brought us when she was
alive.

We know where you are right now
Snug tight in Jesus' arms.
And though we will miss you much,
He'll keep you safe from harm.
There are so many things we wanted to tell you,
So many things we wanted to do,
But you have left us so early,
And we will sure miss you.
You were with us for just a short time,
But you touched our hearts and minds
For you, we'll keep a special place
That won't be hard to find.
Every time there are thoughts of you,
We'll think of you with a smile,
For the joy your sweet life has brought to us,
Will be with us for a while.
We'll remember those tiny , precious smiles,
When you laid upon our chest,
Your contented sighs of satisfaction,
Those memories we love the best.
To remember you with sadness and tears,
Is just not what we'll do,
To remember your sweet, precious life that way,
Is not quite fair to you.
Even though are lives are without you,
We know you're safe from harm,
Because we'll always smile and think of you,
Safe in Jesus' arms.
