In memory of my sweet baby boy

I laid him down to sleep,
and prayed the lord his soul to keep.
I prayed for dreams by angels light,
never knowing it was his last night.

I laid a healthy baby down,
now doctors tell me what they found.
SIDS took my precious son away,
and now I fight to face each day.

I search for answers as to why,
so no more babies have to die.
So no more mothers have to face the day,
when angels carry their child away.
