My ectopic and miscarriage

by Leigh Tomlin

Date: Thu, 7 Sep 2000

I have lost 2 babies my first was on the 2 march 1991 just 2 weeks after we were married I had been trying to have a baby for 18 months and was taking clomed I went to the hospital because I had been bleeding on and off for weeks ( I have a blood stain on my wedding dress) The hospital told me to go home and if I was worried then go to the Drs. so my husband rang the Dr. and he made us go straight to his surgery he told me I needed a short stay in hospital and toke some blood and told me he would see me at the hospital later that day . When he came in he told me he had some bad news that I was pregnant and that I was going to loss my baby straight-a-way I was taken to a larger hospital and made to wait 5 hours before a Dr. even looked at me then they told me my baby was a ectopic pregnancy I asked if the was any hope at all and the Drs words still ring in my ears to this day (it is not a live it is already dead and no its not going to survive) so with these word they took me to a ward and I had to wait till 5pm the next night before they came and took me to there the only response I got we you can have more kids go home and forget it.

It took me another 5 years before I had the courage to try the clomed properly again that was until I found a lovely Dr. how put the die through my tubes and gave me the all clear from that I had a lovely little girl and a year later a another little girl and the year later a little boy but I still wonted just one more baby one without having one learning how to walk so we tried clomed again I was on it for 2 months when I found out I was pregnant I was 6 weeks when I started to bleed I rang the 000 as we didn't have a phone that we could ring out on so I asked the ambulance if they could ring my mother as I was at home alone they not only called her but also sent a ambulance to take me to hospital to have me checked over I was told I was having a threatened miscarry and to go to Dr. on Monday so did that then the fun began I went to local Dr. he told me to go to specialist he told me to go to Dr. this went on and on until I went to other Dr. how gave me injection and told me to lay down until 6 o'clock and then he would ring me at home things got worse by this time so he sent the ambulance to take me to bigger hospital the same one as the first hospital there they did a internal and said I was only 2mm dilated and there was no way of a end in sight so I had to have a d and c and a laparoscope's because of the ectopic.
Thank you for letting me share my story
