The Connor I knew and remember

The Connor I knew loved his mom and dad...
He showed us every day.
I don't know that love anymore...I remember it...I feel it....I don't have it.

The Connor I knew was trying so hard...
To be a little person...to show his feelings..to get what he wanted...
Right now his dad wants him back...but Connor knows he's right here with me.

The Connor I knew was sleeping the last time I saw him alive...
I left that morning..kissed him good bye..and told him I loved him...
I didn't know I'd never know the warmth of his face again...
that I would never see his eyes again...

The Connor I buried wasn't the Connor I knew...
The Connor I know is right here with me...in my heart
in my soul...in my mind...a part of me forever...

I just wanted to know so much more and I wanted to teach him what I know...
I miss Connor....
