Grandparents Web Site31 Jul 1998 On December 1, 1997, our 3 year old granddaughter died suddenly. Since that time I have been searching for some way to deal with this overwhelming loss. I've discovered that there are no books or support groups that specifically deal with a grandparent's loss. I did speak with a representative of our local Compassionate Friends group, but it seemed that the vast majority of attendees are grieving parents. I think grandparents have somewhat different needs. I have contacted another grieving grandmother and we have been keeping in touch by email. I think we both find this extremely helpful. We both feel terrible isolated and believe that there should be some way that grieving grandparents could communicate and help each other. I've established a web page to try and fill this need. Could you help me make other grandparents aware of its existence? The URL is http://home.att.net/~laurlev/gpgrief.html . Laurie Levine |
