Missing You

In memory of Evan
May 25, 1988-August 24, 1988

My Husband and best friend wrote this poem seven years ago. I'll never forget the day! He was hauling grain, came in the house with a tear stained face. Handed me a dusty note book and said I wrote a poem. I could not hug him fast enough! - Tina Brockman

Time passes by, as it surely must do.
But no frame of time, fades the memory of you.

Your little face beaming , As I walked in the door.
I realized then what this life was all for.

But things quickly changed, as we all know they can.
From giggling and laughing. To bedside holding your hand.

You put up a struggle. With all of your might.
Such a brave little one, But you lost the big fight.

Every day that goes by. I will think of you Evan!
Secure in the comfort. You're with God in heaven.

And even though I know that's the safest place you can be.
I still wish that you could be down here with me!

I love you Evan
Daddy (TOM)
