Comments: I haven't visited the site in a while. We just passed to one year
anniversary of the death of our precious son Benjamin. January 1, 1998 was the date of the
memorial service. Tomorrow we will begin a new year. It doesn't seem possible. I miss our
son very much. He is forever in our thoughts. We have, however, been blessed this year
just three weeks ago with the birth of another child. God has given us a beautiful little
girl. There was a time when we weren't sure we would make it after our son died. This site
along with our support group and ofcourse the good Lord up above have given us all we need
to step forward with our lives without our precious son. It's not over and probably never
will be, but the resources we've been given are everything we need to fall back on when we
meet the ongoing sadness and struggle we face in trying to understand why he was taken
from us so soon after he was given to us. This site and all the other resources out there
for SIDS support are wonderful, and we are so very thankful they have touched our lives. |

December [Christmas day]we spent a lovely day with our family.My Mother father brother
sister and our 2 childern spent alovely morning with my aunt uncle 3cousins and there
girlfriends and there childern.My youngest son Lee fell asleep with his cousin Sean for
about an hour and we all kept commenting on how alike they were for cousins.The next
morning we got a phone call to tell us Sean was dead.The hospital has already told his
parents Darren and Fiona it was a cotdeath.So its hit our family again. |

Comments: As Christmas draws near, I think of how Connor Carl would have loved to
see the Xmas lights on the tree, but I try to think about something my husband said,
" Connor probably loves the bright colors in Heaven, as do all the "angel
babies", and as sweet as they all were, they'd want us to enjoy the holidays in their
place. Connor wasn't our baby, but he was my cousin's, and sooo precious to all of us. Our
"little angels" are in the arms of Jesus, and we'll see them again someday...

Comments: We lost our beloved son, Brandon John George, from SIDS on 9-8-98, he was
9 months and 11 days old, never did I think that SIDS could happen to him, I THOUGHT after
6 months we were safe, Brandon was our first and IS OUR EVERYTHING. A healthy little boy,
it is funny, I remember as if it happen yesterday, there was no sign that it would happen,
he was laughing and saying Hiii, just before we layed him down, MY HEART ACHES, MY arms
They THROBBB, noone has answers, and to me SIDS is no answer, all it says to me is that we
could not find anything, he was a healthy, loved little boy (that is what the doctor
said), we do not know why. People do not understand. They send Christmas Cards, send
pictures of their children, what is that all about, do they think My husband and I would
celebrate, people are unknowingly cruel. I am forever saad and do not know how to keep
going, for all those 14,000 parents out there that suffered this year, I am sad for you
too. Our babies, why? |

blood disorder and one to SIDS. We've moved to an area without a support group and the
information gathered here on-line is great. It still saddens me after 5 years that SIDS
has not been beaten. One of the hardest things for me to accept is that others are
suffering the trauma of finding their child still and lifeless. For me it's the one

Comments: I am a SIDS Auntie, THREE times over. I am numb with disbelief that this
can happen to our family a third time in my life. Twenty six years ago in 1972 my brother
Doug and his wife Marion lost their 11 month old son Cory to SIDS. In September 1996 my
nephew Jason and his wife Susan lost their five month old son Tanner to SIDS. And today,
Saturday December 19th, 1998 my niece Cora, who is my brother Dougs daughter lost her
three month old baby "Danika" to SIDS! I was just in Edmonton a couple of weeks
ago and got to see her, she was such a pretty little baby, Cora is such a good Mom and you
could tell by the way she held her and talked to her so gently. I am so afraid of what
will become of Doug, Marion , Cora and Lane. How will they survive this ? I come to this
Sids site often and pray for strength for the families of these babies, and this all seems
so much more real to me now because I now have a little granddaughter, and even though I
don't get to see her very often she is very precious to me and losing her would be to rip
my heart out. I am glad I can come here and vent my grief and anger, thankyou for the

Comments: 10 years ago, I was 5! On September 8, 1988, it was my first day of
Kindergarten. My mother had just layed the twins down for their nap before she had to
bring them to the sitters when she had to go to work! As she was done getting me ready for
school, she went to get the babies off of the bed (they were on her waterbed because she
wanted them close to her while she doing my hair and finishing up getting ready to go back
to her first day of work since she had the twins. She first picked up my baby brother, and
he was up and I was holding him in the bed, when she went to get my sister she noticed her
not breathing. From that moment on everything was a panic, but the memory of that day
sticks in my mind very well. It's kind of like the lady from Titanic. I remember
EVERYTHING!! Losing her wasn't easy and my parents were distraught for a long time. It
makes me think and realize that my life would be a lot different if she was still here and
going to her grave with her little picture from her Baptism is the only way I can see that
see was a little image of me when I was born. She died one day short of her 3 month old
birthday and my brother is healthy and still alive to this day! If anyone would like to

"enjoyed" reading them. Our baby girl, Molly-Mae died on the 22nd September 1996
from SIDS. She was 3 months and one day when she died. Since her death there has been many
trying times and reminders of what will never be. But I must say I have come to a point in
my life where instead if thinking of myself I think of her, and how at peace she now is
now that I have "let" her go. Molly-Mae was our third born, and now have number

Comments: My cousin and his wife lost a baby boy to SIDS Nov. 23, '98, and it's
been hard for the whole family. Connor Carl was a blessing and a joy to be around. The
last time I held him, I was given the BIGGEST smile. Now, that smile lives in my heart
every day. He is our family's little angel, and we'll love him forever--our thoughts and
prayers go out to my cousin, Todd, and his wife, Paula. God be with other people who have
experienced or will experience this loss. I had a miscarriage last year about this time,
and having this loss (Connor) was alot harder than what we went through with the

Comments: I lost my son Jake Cullen to sids 11-11-98. He lived for 30 days and we
miss him terribly. I fed him at 2:00 am and he seemed fine, nothing out of the ordinary. I
didn't wake up again until 7:00am and I knew something was wrong because he hadn't woken
up earlier. He was not breathing and I called 911. It was already too late but they worked
on him for about 45min. That was the worst day of my life. I love and miss my little boy. |

Comments: I left a message almost 2 years ago about my sons sudden death and I have
to tell you that today thank god I have a very healthy baby boy named Noah. I still think
of Logan almost every day and I was told that it would get easier. Well it has gotten
easier but I still do think about him every single day and wonder about the little boy hel
would have been because Noah is such a beautiful little one I'm sure that Logan would have
been as beautiful as Noah. Noah is my angle and he did save my life. If I did not have him
I do not know were I would be right now. I cried and cried and I still do cry over Logan
and I even as of recently called the coroner to find out really why did he die and she
told me that there was nothing we could have done to save his life it really was gods will
to take him from us. For you out there that have just lost a baby and need to talk to

I would be glad to tell you how I am coping with this even after having to go to a mental
hospital because I was so distaut and my mother could not understand what I was going
through. It took me a long time and I am still going through with the situation but it is
